A weekend at The Dairy at Spring Barn Fram
Now that winter is officially here (sad face) I’m all about cosy weekends away and we had the perfect escape a few weeks ago when we stayed at The Dairy at Spring Barn Farm so that we could enjoy the Lewes Bonfire Night celebrations.
Our friends actually booked the accommodation through airbnb and kindly allowed us to gatecrash it*
The apartment is newly furnished and had a cosy cottage feel as soon as we walked through the door, with wooden beams and little rustic touches. It has one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, which was where we slept.
It has an open plan living room and kitchen and we were welcomed to The Dairy with a ginger cake, which went down very well with the tea, which gets drunk in copious amounts whenever we get together with our friends!
However I must admit, other than tea and snacks we didn’t use the kitchen that much, as there’s a lovely cafe on Spring Barn Farm which is a minute’s walk from The Diary and we may have eaten breakfast there both days!
The Diary is just one mile from Lewes, which made it super easy to walk to, and an eight mile drive from Brighton.
It was definitely the perfect base for our weekend’s activities.
*We basically invited ourselves along.

Looks lovely! At least you don’t have snow. Ours just came! But then again we can ski and play in it!
I agree – why use the kitchen when the cafe is right there, you are on holiday of course!! And cleaning up is not my definition of cosy 🙂 Looks like a lovely little place for a winter break!
